Degree Information
The degree focuses on building student's proficiency as translators, by improving their skills and knowledge of the French, English and Khmer languages, and by introducing them to a variety of theories, methodologies and techniques used in linguistics and translation.
The course is divided into five broad sections, each focusing on a key competency required of the professional translator. Students focus on improving their basic language skills, the style and structure of their writing, learn professional translation methodologies, fulfill an internship with a French company, and write a report or thesis demonstrating their knowledge. Students also choose elective courses, which build specialized competencies in various fields of employment.
